Current Take on Life

So after a mild anxiety attack on Wednesday (literally freaking out) and an amazing Thursday, I feel like my emotions are strung all over the place. I think my life so far has been set in milestones, especially with school. I tend to look forward to the big landmarks, like the first day of class or Spring Break. Well, now that Spring Break has come and gone my next big landmark is graduation ... and that scares me death!

I am so blessed to have a good paying job in a city I love, but I can't help but feel extremely anxious, nervous, and a little sad to be starting my new chapter in life. There are so many "What If's" that are looming, like where will I live, can I make it completely on my own, will I make new friends, will I succeed in my job? Thankfully this blog is a little bit of an outlet for me (thanks for listening to me freak out if you are still here), because I have a hard time opening up to others about my fears.

I have to remember to continue to soak up my last few weeks at school and be excited about all the amazing opportunities ahead. And sometimes that might mean breaking down and crying then picking yourself back up, dusting yourself off and having fun.

And today skipping class on a beautiful day to have dinner on the rooftop with your best friends was just what the doctor ordered!

Spring Break Recap - Nassau, Bahamas

On our Spring Break cruise, we were all looking forward to exploring three different ports. Well, as I mentioned in the previous post, the weather did not cooperate and we were only able to visit Nassau. The good thing was we got to spend a little longer in the Bahamas than expected, a day and a half overnight!

By the time Thursday rolled around, we could not wait to touch land again! We rushed off the ship as soon as it docked! Friday we had a snorkeling excursion planned, followed by a day at the beach and a fun last night on the ship!

Spring Break Recap - At Sea

I am sad to say my last spring break ever is over. The anticipation of 13 great friends boarding the Carnival Destiny finally came and we were all so excited to get our bathing suits on and drinks in our hand!

Well, lets just saw our cruise did not turn out as planned. To start, we had "engine problems" that delayed us leaving by about 2.5 hours, leading us to book it through choppy seas. Then as we see Grand Turk, we get an announcement delaying our arrival followed shortly saying we are unable to dock! Later that day at dinner, the captain once again had bad news saying we would not be able to dock at Half Moon Cay either! Even though we were all disappointed we made the best out of the situation and had a blast!

MONDAY
Depart Miami
Relaxing on the pool deck in Miami!

Waiting for the sail away ... which we never saw!

Epic Pool Deck Dance Party before sailing away!

There was an air guitar competition, so we nominated Kristen! You go girl (she hated us)!

 TUESDAY
 Day at Sea
Doing yoga on the deck (it was so windy!)

Formal Night, with my cruise roomies last year and this year!

Group at formal dinner

After dinner drinks, enjoying a show and karaoke!

Karaoke-ing to Love Shack!

 WEDNESDAY
Unexpected Fun Day at Sea
(unable to dock in Grand Turk)

Early Risers to get our pool chairs!

A little rain forced us and our BLL to take shelter for a while!

Sunbathing beauties!

Previous Carnival Cruisers - We got a free drinks and entertainment!

Our own pool deck party for Wine Wednesday

Even though we were stuck on the boat a little longer than expected with some rain mixed in, we took full advantage of lunch, dinners, karaoke, dance parties, sun bathing, Miami Vice Drinks, and fun!

I'm Back!

It has been quite a while since I have blogged! It has been crazy these past couple weeks between school, spring break, home, sorority, friends, fun, but it sure is good to be back. I love to blog but sometimes just need a little break to enjoy life, which is what I did!

Currently, I am feeling a little overwhelmed now that Spring Break is over (posts to come soon!) and graduation is looming ahead. I have so much I want to do before I graduate and so much I need to do before I start my job. But I am trying to soak up all the fun of college life that I can before the best 4 years end and I begin my next chapter.

This past Tuesday I celebrated my roommate Kristen (no pictures for her) and friend Steph's birthdays downtown since their birthdays were over Spring Break. I loved karaoke-ing to "Sweet Home Alabama" with my newly 21 year old roomie!

Becca and I before heading downtown!

This was my first St. Patrick's day where I celebrated in true Irish drinking spirit! My big, Morgan, came to town for the day/night to visit and we had a great time reminiscing ... and visiting our favorite "pubs."

Biggie and I on St. Pattys Day!

Loved seeing my freshman year hallmates!

All of us celebrating the Irish!

Anchorsplash

This past week my sorority participated in Delta Gamma's Anchorsplash to benefit Service for Sight! It is one of the largest philanthropies on campus because everyone loves to participate in their talent show! Last night was the show, where many fraternities and sororities come out to show off their best dance moves!

I decided to participate in the dance, since its my last one ever! Our theme was 70's and we danced to "Brick House" and "Bad Girl."  I was literally running on pure adrenaline and was shaking the whole time but it was so amazing dancing in front of hundreds of people!
