New Favorite Foods

I semi-recently discovered these treats myself and absolutely love them and could easily eat them everyday! They are a random pair, but equally delicious!

Fried Green Beans
I have only had these at a neighborhood restaurant, and they are delicious. I convince myself they are healthier than they really are so I can indulge!

Cake Balls/Pops
My roommate made these last year and I have seen them all over the place now, and no wonder why, they are delicious! I made red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting cake balls for the holidays!

You can make cute ones for any holiday or occasion!

Yummy!

BCBG NYE Dresses

I wish I had all of these so I could do a million outfit changes (like Carrie Underwood on the CMA's) for New Year's Eve. I think what better way to ring in a New Year than in fabulous style!

Insanity

I finished my first week of Insanity by Shaun T. workout this week. It is a 60-day total body conditioning program similar to P90X but without weights and more cardio driven.

It is max interval training, about 3 minutes of 100% intense cardio with a 30 second rest in between. The pure cardio workout is about 15 minutes of exercises without rest. I am having the most issue with the squats and the workouts in plank position.

I am hoping to lose a little weight and mainly become more toned and in shape. My only issue is all the food and sweets I am indulging in this holiday season. I am hoping, and trying to stick with it for all 60 days but it is definitely no joke. Hopefully, once school and recruitment starts up in a few weeks I will be able to keep up and see the results! I'll keep you updated on how my journey goes!

Christmas Aftermath

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas filled with joy, family, food, giving and receiving! Christmas was a smaller affair this year than normally in my family, especially since we are all older. But here are a few items I received this Christmas.

Capital's Hockey Tickets, along with joining my Dad at next week's Raven's Football game!

Still reliving the glory of Espana's World Cup Championship and my time in my Madrid this past summer!

Tommy Pullover - Perfect to layer for cold winter days!

Ralph Lauren Blue Oxford

My big gift was money towards my Spring Break, a Norwegian Cruise with some of my amazing sorority sisters! Counting down the days till March 6th and getting MSB (or Mission Spring Break as my friend Anna calls it) ready till then!

I also snagged up some great finds at my local Marshall's this past week ...

White V-Neck RL Sweater

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night

Last night on Christmas Eve, my family was delighted to find Santa cruising my neighborhood in his red Cadillac convertible!

Hope everyone's Christmas was filled with joy ... and that Santa made it to your house too!

Bye Bye Bye ....

2010 left us with some of the most talked about series finale's and one of my favorite shows of all time series finale too. In 2010 we said goodbye to ...

LOST
One of my favorite shows of all time said goodbye after 6 seasons and a bumpy, well scrutinized run. I'll miss the smoke monster, John Locke, time travel and the unanswered questions I am still pondering over.

Law & Order
Sadly, after 20 seasons, this famous show that brought many great spinoff's (including my favorite SVU), was cancelled. At least 3 spinoff's are still on air, and surely syndication will allow it to live on.

The Hills
I loved Laguna Beach and although I did not watch The Hills on a regular the story line captured mine and many other young girls hearts. But, let's get real, how long did we really think it would last without LC?

Some other finale's include ...
24
As the World Turns
Ugly Betty
Hero's

New Fountain Drink Machine!

My Dad came home and raved about the best new thing to hit our neighborhood California Tortilla. A computerized fountain drink machine that allows you to pick from any Coca-Cola Product in the world. He choose Caffeine-Free Diet Coke and then it prompted him to choose from Lime, Cherry, Lemon, Vanilla, etc. extracts to add to it. I can't wait to check out this new amazing invention that will hopefully hitting more fast food joints soon!

Tis the season, to watch some of my favorite movies. I absolutely love ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas because every night you can curl up with hot coco and enjoy the Christmas Spirit. Sadly, I have not been able to enjoy much this year due to a large load of academics, but now that I am home I plan to enjoy my favorite Christmas movies!

The Santa Clause (1, 2, & 3)

Home Alone (with Macauly Culkin)

Love Actually

I'll Be Home for Christmas

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

And my absolute favorite Christmas movies happen to be claymation!

Santa Clause is Coming to Town

The Year without a Santa Clause

Back to Blogging!

So I have been severely MIA from the blogging world thanks to my busiest semester at college yet. But, I just finished up finals (and did surprisingly better than I thought!) and thought what better to do during my next three weeks at home. Here is an update of what I have been up to since I have been gone ...

Homecoming Week & Halloween
Honestly one of the funnest weeks of my life. Our pairings were so much fun and any excuse I can party with my sisters all week, I'll take in a heartbeat! And Halloween was extremely fun, I was a bee and Valentine's Day!

Halloween!

25th Anniversary of my Sororities Chapter!
My sororities chapter turned 25 this year and we had a huge celebration with many of our alum to celebrate. Never have I had so much fun with so many different aged people. We danced like there was no tomorrow and chatted about "never taking a 24 hour bus ride to spring break with Sigma Chi's."

Active's with a Charter member!

Road Trip to Charlotte/Clemson
My dad, sister and I went to a Raven's game in Charlotte and I got to visit my sister during her first semester at Clemson and help her prepare for her Semi-Formals. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the Raven's won so it was well worth the trip!
Sister before formals!
Family at the game!

ACC Championships
My beloved Hokies made it to the ACC Championships in Charlotte this year so naturally a bunch of my sorority sisters and I made the trip down and had an amazing time cheering our Hokies on to the Championship and Orange Bowl! One of our sisters had the most amazing tailgate complete with 8-10 enclosed tents, space heaters, plasma tvs, a DJ, food, and dance party ... it was epic to say the least.
The epic dance party!

Survived Finals!
This was my hardest academic semester yet, but that is expected as a Junior. I survived after many hours in my sorority house's study and library and had many entertaining moments while studying!
O, just a little nap face down on the coach ...
